In preparation for our 15th Anniversary of the Steeplechase Distance Run, listed below are a few items that may be helpful to you.
If you have friends or family who still wish to join you race day, the online and discounted registration window closes at 12 PM on Friday, September 22nd. Race day registration information can be found below.

Can I pick up my bib, t-shirt and goodie bag early to beat the crowd?
Yes. We are offering bib and shirt pick up on Saturday, September 23rd from 3 – 5 PM at Amsterdam School (301 Amsterdam Drive, Hillsborough) in addition to our normal Sunday morning bib and shirt pick up which will begin at 7:30 AM.
Can someone sign up to run/walk on Sunday?
Absolutely, registrations will be taken at the Day of registration tent. While we will have registration forms available, it will expedite the process if you bring this completed registration form with you. Click here for registration form.
All events are $33 and $15 for 15 years old and under. Checks should be made payable to Somerset Health Care Foundation.
Can I change my event?
Yes. Changes can be made at the Customer Service tent on race day.
Will there be food at the event?
Yes. A participant food tent is located near the finish line and will offer lots of free food for race participants. In addition, a Kona Ice truck will be on site for purchase and will be taking cash only.
How do I get to Amsterdam School?
From Route 206 southbound – turn left on Amwell Road. Proceed on Amwell Road for 2.5 miles to Amsterdam Drive; turn right onto Amsterdam Drive. Proceed 2 miles to the school on the right.
From Route 206 northbound – turn right on Amwell Road. Proceed on Amwell Road for 2.5 miles to Amsterdam Drive; turn right onto Amsterdam Drive. Proceed 2 miles to the school on the right.
Where do I park?
The race takes place in a residential neighborhood with plenty of free street parking. For those running the 5K or doing the walk, we recommend arriving at Amsterdam School from the Hillsborough Road to avoid closures as they relate to the start of the 10K at 8:45. Please note that we do close the roads earlier than the start of the race to lay down timing mats. The first road closure will take place at 8:20 AM. At all times, please drive cautiously.
Is there a bag check?
Yes! For security purposes, we ask that everyone utilize the bag check. Unattended bags will be brought to the attention of police on site.
Where can my group meet?
There is an open area to the left of the registration tents in which you may gather. Pop up tents are permitted in this area. Please be mindful of others.

Are there water stations on the course?
The 10K has two water stations at Mile 1 and Mile 4.
The 5K and walk have one water station at Mile 1.
Carrying your own water is strongly encouraged to reduce our environmental impact.
Special Offers on Race Day
· RWJ Somerset Sports Physical Therapy and Performance Fitness will be offering stretching both pre-race and post-race.
· Walgreens will be onsite offering “zero out of pocket” flu shots to participants and spectators.
· RWJBH Wellness on Wheels will be onsite to provide free demonstration and nutrition education.
